Hi @Leean
I bought one of the robotic cats for my Mum a few months ago . She lives with mixed dementia and becomes very agitated and anxious particularly in the afternoons. She has always loved cats and I hoped it would bring her some comfort. She lives in a Care Home. The staff were pleased to consider having something that would help her to feel calmer.
We told the Care Home staff and I printed off a Guide for them and us from the company website and in it it explained how the cat might benefit Mum and also the best way to introduce the cat.
We followed the guidance and went in with my husband holding the cat ( as if real ) and it being switched on and followed the other steps.
My Mum really enjoyed stroking it and as it purred and moved she was talking to it. She said 'it's very clever'-we got the feeling she knows it isn't real but still enjoyed stroking it , interacting and brushing it's coat.
I feel it was a worthwhile purchase.
